About this property
Property to be auctioned on site on Saturday 02/05/2026 at 12:00pm with offers welcome prior to auction. Current buyer feedback: $1,150,000-$1,250,000 A WORD FROM OUR SELLERS; "There is so much to tell you about why we love 55 Katherine Avenue and why we would never have moved had we not had one too many children! It is a beautiful neighbourhood where you can sit on the front porch with a cuppa and chat to locals as they wander past walking their dogs. The formal lounge is sun drenched in winter, my favourite thing to do was make a cuppa and sit on the lounge and soak up beautiful warmth during the winter months. The weeping cherries in the front garden deliver the most spectacular display of pink flowers in spring - I even had a lady come to more door one day to ask what species of weeping cherry they were as she admired them every year and wanted to plant some herself. All of our children attending Good Shepherd Primary School and the memories of walking with them or riding with them to school are glorious. It's a quick drive to the schools for pick up also. The home is so close to Coles and Aldi for shopping, which helped make weekend errands quick and it is a nice walking distance to fabulous eating spots like Stonehouse (Amaroo) and Frankies (Forde). We have lived in Amaroo for 26 years, so our kids have always started their swimming journey at Aquatots and again it's a short drive or walk to the pool. Walking or running around the lake was one of our favourite things to do, I miss the lake so much already. We'd have picnics at the lake with neighbours and also go kayaking. We'd also assemble on the grass near the playground of Bizant street with others in the neighbourhood with dogs and let them run off leash for hours on end. We made great friends through this experience (particularly during Covid). The backyard is an entertainer's delight. We have had many many parties and gatherings over the years and there's so much space to enjoy friends and family. My husband loves the extra space in the garage, sometimes he'd disappear in there for hours with his projects! The main bathroom - the spa bath was one of the big selling points for us. Such a great space, particularly with 4 kids, the powder room sink helped also! The huge laundry was also fantastic to have. The kitchen is spacious and I loved that it looked out over the backyard and I could watch the kids playing while preparing dinner or washing up. I could write more but this is already way too much We loved this home and it was so very hard to leave, our hearts are still heavy even in our lovely new home. We just want a family to move in and enjoy what we have enjoyed, a fantastic neighbourhood, convenient location to school, shops, lake, a house that has always had a warm homely feeling."
