For day-to-day trips, Safety Bay Road and the Kwinana Freeway (accessed via Rockingham) make getting around the greater Rockingham area, and up to Perth, relatively simple.

Median rent of $580 a week reflects solid tenant demand, and the suburb also holds appeal for landlords given its beachside position.

Current listings are dominated by houses, which make up 88% of the mix, with land parcels at 9% and apartments or units a smaller 4%. That skew towards standalone houses on established blocks is typical of Safety Bay's character as a low-rise, family-oriented coastal suburb rather than a high-density one, and it's a factor buyers and investors alike tend to weigh up alongside the recent price growth.
