Nambucca Heads also has its own railway station on the North Coast line, giving residents a direct rail option towards Sydney or north to Brisbane, which is handy given the distance from either capital. Most daily trips, though, are by car, with Valla Beach, Hyland Park and Macksville all a short drive away and Coffs Harbour Airport within reach for those needing to fly.
